Coast-to-coast walkers come to the village
- Published: May 9, 2012
Kait and John Seyal, who are walking across the country with their two dogs, stopped in Yellow Springs last weekend. They “couch-surfed” at the home of a local couple and dipped into village life, including a stop with their certified therapy dogs, Max and Grace, at the Friends Care Community.
The couple’s visit to Yellow Springs is described on their blog, http://www.DogBlogUSA.com.
The Seyals began their trip in March in Delaware, and are walking with their two rescue dogs to California. According to their blog, they are walking to “promote pet therapy, animal rescue and the benefits that a fulfilling relationship with dogs can bring to us.”
The two came to Yellow Springs from Columbus on Friday, and stayed overnight in the village. They spent time at Friends Care Community, where they met Volunteer Coordinator Todd Sheets and several residents, and also had breakfast at Norah’s, which they describe in detail on their blog.
The couple is now in Dayton, and will set off to continue their journey via Richmond, Ind., today, May 9.
