Records crushed at MBC meet

The McKinney track team had an incredible school record chase this year as school records were broken 15 times during the season. At last weekend’s Metro Buckeye Conference track and field meet, even more records were broken.

The McKinney Boys’ team placed second with 100 points at this year’s MBC meet, the girls team placed 4th with 88.5 points. Hayden Orme won the 110m hurdles race in 17.16, the 200m hurdles in 28.55 and the long jump with a leap of 17-00. Joe Plumer won the discus competition improving his own school record (134-10) with a toss to 139-11, he also won the High Jump with a height of 4-10.

Kaliyah Fulton advanced her own school record (6-7) again and won the pole vault with a jump of 6-10.

Long hurdle sprinter Julian Roberts won the 200m hurdles race in 34.25 and placed 3rd over 100m in 14.10. Paiden Kegle placed 2nd in the Pole Vault with a hight of 5-10.
Amani Wagner dominated the girls discus competition and won with a toss of 75-01, she placed 4th in the shot put 27-06 behind Jasmine Davidson which placed 3rd with a throw to 27-08
Tristan Giardullo placed twice second, he ran the 200m in 27.26 and crossed the bar at 5-10 in the pole vault.

The boy’s 4×200 team (Elam,McKinley, Plumer , Benners) won the competition in 1:54.13. In the 4x400m relays, the girls (James,Creightohn, Fulton, Worsham) placed 2nd in 5:18.22 and the boy’s (Haught, Giardullo, Elam, McKinnley) placed 3rd in 4:49.22. The girl’s 4x200m team (Cheatom, James, Creighton, Davidson) placed 3rd in 2:11.90.
