YS Community Foundation celebrates local education
- Published: September 29, 2014
This year, the YS Community Foundation celebrates 40 years of contributions to the village’s many nonprofit endeavors. As part of that celebration, the foundation, with the cooperation of WYSO, produced a series of five sound and slide pieces detailing some of its most important work in the village. The final piece in the series, below, focuses on the Community Foundation’s involvement with the Antioch College Miller Fellowship program and the implementation of project-based learning in village public schools.
To view the first four pieces in the series, which cover the history of the foundation, its contributions to seniors and health, arts and culture in the village and local ecology, visit the Community Foundation’s YouTube page here.
The audio pieces were written and produced by Lauren Shows, with photography and slideshow editing by Matthew Collins and Dennie Eagleson. Oversight was provided by Neenah Ellis of WYSO and Evan Scott of the Yellow Springs Community Foundation.
