The third annual Enchantment Under the Springs adult prom is Saturday, April 18, from 7 p.m. to midnight in the John Bryan Community Center gym. An event of the Yellow Springs Browns Backers, this year’s theme is Boogie Nights.

“Put on your platforms and your bell bottoms, grab a date or come stag and get ready for a far out time,” said prom committee chair Maggie Cooper.

Advance tickets can be purchased at Iona, Asanda Imports, The Emporium and Yellow Springs Brewery for $15. Tickets at the door the night of the event are $20 (since the last two events sold out, organizers encourage advance purchase). There will be a cash bar with beer, wine and punch as well as sodas and baked goods. Voodoo Taco truck will serve food outside. Prom photos will also be available for purchase.

As an official club of Browns Backers Worldwide, the local Browns Backers club created the adult prom as a way to fulfill their obligations as an official member organization while also providing fellow villagers with a fun evening to let their hair down and have a good time, according to a press released. This year, proceeds from the event will benefit the Yellow Springs Kids Playhouse, a local non-profit organization in its 20th year that strives to provide high quality performing arts opportunities and instruction for students of all ages and abilities.
