Nikki Giovanni to speak at Antioch Writers Workshop

The Antioch Writers Workshop (AWW) will kick off this Saturday, July 11, with a keynote talk by world renown poet Nikki Giovanni, who will speak at 7 p.m. at the Antioch University Midwest auditorium. The talk is free and open to the public.
A poet, educator, writer and activist, Giovanni has won a bevy of awards for her work, including being a National Book Award finalist for her memoir, Gemini. She is one of the most widely read American poets and the author of many books of poetry, including Love Poems and Blues: All the Changes, which both won NAACP Image awards.
AWW classes will begin on Sunday, July 12, and continue through the week until Friday at AUM.
