Chamber Music presents winds group

The Imani Winds, the premier winds quintet in the country, will perform this Sunday, Feb. 21. at 7:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Yellow Springs. The concert is part of the Chamber Music Yellow Springs series.
The concert will feature composers from around the world. It begins with a piece by ensemble member Valerie Coleman, followed by a work by the Russian composer Rimsky-Korsakov. Latin music will be featured in the second half, along with Klezmer dances from the Jewish tradition.
The group has been praised as “a quintet of skilled and spirited musicians” by the Washington Post.
Concert goers are encouraged to arrive early, as the concert may be sold out.
