Charlotte Walkey and Lucas Mulhall recently rehearsed a scene from the YSHS musical "Footloose," which will be performed this weekend and next.

YSHS kids get “Footloose”

Yellow Springs High School and McKinney Middle School students will be singing, dancing and acting up a storm for the next two weekends in “Footloose,” the annual high school musical.

The event takes place at the Mills Lawn gym on two weekends, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays, March 4 and 5 and 11 and 12, at 8 p.m. and Sundays, March 6 and 13, at 2 p.m.

The show’s director is Lorrie Sparrow-Knapp, with Ara Beal as producer, Ali Thomas and Jaime Wilke as choreographers, Ed Knapp as tech director, James Johnston as music director and Mary Fahrenbruck serving as accompanist.
