Students in Donna Haller’s YSHS math class decided to learn math through a real-world challenge, the launching of a small business. The business, YS Spirit Wear, sells Bulldog-pride themed sweatshirts and t-shirts, and is a yearlong project-based learning, or PBL, project.

The students and Haller have partnered with local apparel company Basho to produce the products. They’re available for holiday gifts and can by ordered by contacting Haller at dhaller@ysschools.org or through browsing through bashoapparel.net/shop-4.
