Chili cook-off hits 25th year

The 25th annual McKinney School Chili Cook-off will take place Saturday, April 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the YSHS cafeteria. Both students and adults are invited to enter the contest, which is a fundraiser for the school’s annual seventh-grade trip.
Students may enter for free, while there is a $5 fee for adults. First-place prizes will be given for best overall chili adult entry, student entry and People’s Choice.
Those who would rather eat than cook are invited to attend the event and sample the soups. Tickets are $10 per adult, students aged 6-18 $5, and families can eat for $20.
