ORDINANCES RE:WEED REMOVAL
VILLAGE OF YELLOW SPRINGS, OHIO
Interested persons will take note that the Village Council of Yellow Springs on Monday, Nov. 18, 2019, gave a preliminary approval as a first reading to ordinances, text to follow.
Council will give a public hearing and pass the ordinances into law on Monday, Dec. 2, 2019. All readings will take place at the John Bryan Community Center, 100 Dayton St.
ORDINANCES 2019-40; 41; 42; & 43
• All of these ordinances change the manner in which property owners and tenants are notified of a complaint for “Weeds”. The ordinances remove responsibility from the Village to remove weeds from an offending property and leaves the property owner responsible for rectifying the situation.
• Ordinance 2019-42 also changes the notification process in 674.03
from five to ten days and the enforcement process, making it a
court appearance citation. Ordinance 2019-43 Removes 674.04
