• At the same time, Ohio’s daily new case numbers are continuing to show a gradual overall decline, with the seven-day average for new cases between Sunday, Oct. 3, and Saturday, Oct. 9, dropping from 5,676 to 5,090 over the week.

• Ohio’s case numbers per 100,000 residents over two weeks also continued to go down, moving from 616.7, reported Sept. 30, to 560.5, reported Oct. 7. In Greene County, the per-100,000 numbers also continued a slight decline, going from 551.7 per 100,000, reported Sept. 30, to 514.4 as of Oct. 7. The county has been among the lowest fourth of Ohio’s 88 counties for two weeks running. The highest incidence in the ODH’s most recent count was reported in Coshocton County, in the central northeast portion of the state, with 1,219.4 cases per 100,000 residents. The lowest was in Geauga County, east of Cleveland, with 283, which is still nearly three times more than the definition of “high” incidence set at more than 100 cases per 100,000.
