Over the last several weeks, Antioch College students have called for updates of the Sexual Offense Prevention Policy in response to the college administration’s handling of an investigation that revealed a sexual encounter had occurred between an Antioch professor and student last summer.
An ongoing investigation of Gronbeck, led by the Ohio Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, is related to allegations of sexual misconduct.
Over the last two weeks, some Antioch College students have not been attending class to show support for student demands to change the way sexual offenses and incidents of racial discrimination are handled at the college.
Earlier this week on the Antioch College campus, students, faculty, administrators and trustees engaged in negotiations around the implementation of two campus policies.
Antioch College and Wilberforce University are both small, private liberal arts colleges in Greene County. They were both founded in the 1850s. And in recent years they’ve both been trying to bounce back from financial and accreditation woes.
