Fourth of July festivities

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Yellow Springs will celebrate Independence day with a parade, a patriotic band concert and, of course, fireworks.

Parade
The Fourth of July parade will line up beginning at 2:30 p.m. on the curved drive behind Friends Care Center on Monday, July 4. The parade begins at 3:30 p.m. All are invited to join the parade. For more information, contact Dave Triplett at 767-2012 or Todd Van Lehn at 767-1064 or 239-8462.

Band concert
The YS Community Band will present a Fourth of July concert on Monday, July 4, beginning at 8 p.m. at Gaunt Park. The band will perform medleys of American folk tunes, meditative and patriotic works and favorite marches by Sousa and others. The performance will precede the annual fireworks display. Those attending are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair.

Fireworks
The annual fireworks display will begin at 9:30 p.m. in Gaunt Park. Get there early to get a good spot.
