Curliss is new Village manager
- Published: June 7, 2012
On Monday, June 4, Village Council unanimously voted to ask Interim Village Manager Laura Curliss to be the Village’s permanent manager. Curliss verbally accepted the offer, although contract details have not been finalized.
Curliss has been interim manager since former Manager Mark Cundiff left his post after three years to take the manager position in Sidney. Previously, Curliss, an attorney, served for eight years as the executive assistant for Mayor David Raizk of Wilmington. Prior to that she worked in the Clinton County prosecutor’s office. She holds a law degree from the University of Notre Dame and a masters in divinity from the Yale Divinity School.
In an interview Monday night, Curliss said she and her husband, Phillip Gentile, will move to Yellow Springs with their 15-year-old son, Michael, as soon as they find a house.
