Ohio Brass & Electric to play Emporium tonight

The big brass sound of Ohio Brass & Electric, one of the area’s only horn bands, will fill the Emporium tonight from 7 to 10 p.m., while villagers stroll through downtown on the Summer Art Stroll.

Ohio Brass & Electric, formed in 2012, is composed of Barbara Leeds, keyboards; Skip Leeds, vocals, guitar and flute; Bob Fanin, trumpet; Brady Karns, vocals; Darla Logan, bass; Diana Ditty, bass sax; Doug Roberts, trombone; Emily Seibel, vocals; Lynn Peterson, alto sax, and Mek Logan, drums.

The group, which plays primarily horn rock  blues and R&B, is a local favorite with dancers. It plays covers from such groups as Chicago, Santana, the Beatles, Elton John, Earth, Wind and Fire and James Brown.
