Mills Lawn teacher charged

On Friday, Feb. 13, popular longtime Mills Lawn teacher Ben Trumbull was arrested in Columbus and charged with pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor. On Saturday, Trumbull was arraigned in the Franklin County Municipal Court, where he pleaded not guilty. He was released after posting bail of $35,085. A preliminary hearing was set for Feb. 23.
Trumbull was immediately suspended from all school duties, Superintendent Mario Basora said in a letter to parents on Friday evening.
