A powerful silence

More than 150 villagers lined Xenia Avenue for an hour beginning at noon last Sunday in silent protest against recent shootings of blacks. Among those attending the vigil were, from left, Terry Graham, Dhyana Graham and Douglas Klappich, all of Yellow Springs.

    Seeing that picture of people lining Xenia Avenue reminds me of the picketers many years ago against Gegner’s Barbershop when Xenia Avenue was shut down and police departments from all over the area used tear gas to break it up. It continues, doesn’t it?
