All power to the porches

All throughout a perfect early fall day, on Saturday, Sept. 16, over 50 musicians, bands, disc jockeys, singers, songwriters and instrumentalists of nearly every musical genre under the sun performed at the annual villagewide Porchfest.
At 30 different locations around Yellow Springs — including back patios, front lawns, downtown stoops and elsewhere — Porchfest performers treated hundreds of villagers and visitors to a jam-packed day of musical variety.
From traditional Celtic and ska to hip-hop and heavy metal — there was a tune for every ear at this year’s Porchfest.
