  • Meet the new owners of the Mills Park Hotel

    Mills Park employee Ryan Aubin and his husband, Alex Price, purchased the business and 1.6-acre property on April 27 for nearly $4.5 million from the Yellow Springs-based Hammond family. Jim Hammond, his wife, Libby, and daughter, Katie, have owned and operated the hotel since the family opened its doors in 2016.

    The Springs Motel, Yellow Springs’ own little funky roadside respite has some new owners. Moving in from just three miles down Route 68 is the Knickerbocker family, proprietors of local business Knickerbocker Pools & Spas.

  • Mills Park Hotel delayed until the fall

    Due to construction delays, the Mills Park Hotel will open in late 2015 instead of the summer as initially planned.     The Mills Park Hotel, originally slated to be open in June, will likely not open until October or November due to unforeseen delays with contractors, according to owner Jim Hammond.

    Erik and Deirdre Owen had looked for ways to support the local arts community as well as share their home, an Italian villa on an historic estate. By turning their spacious home into an “art bed and breakfast,” they believe they now have accomplished both.
