  • Springfield man robs US Bank

    Due largely to the testimony of a village resident and information from a security tape, on Tuesday, March 31, Yellow Springs police arrested a Springfield man who confessed to having robbed US Bank last week.

  • Council hears from visioning firms

    On Monday, March 30, Village Council met in a special meeting with ACP, a Columbus firm that is one of two finalists for the job of leading Yellow Springs in a visioning and planning process. About 25 villagers attended the meeting, along with members of the Visioning Task Force, to hear ACP’s presentation and to ask questions.

  • Stutzman’s future uncertain

    In a bad economy, few businesses hurt like landscapers, and Stutzman’s Nursery, Garden Center & Landscaping is no exception. After several years of struggle to pay bills on time and maintain proper insurance, at the beginning of March the Village issued Stutzman’s an order to vacate the Village-owned property on U.S. 68 north.

    Four years ago, Tony Novello was a visitor to Ohio, en route to a golf tournament with a colleague from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. While his friend drove, the Maryland resident took in the sights.

  • Seadogs seek coaches, assistants for new season

    The Yellow Springs Seadogs are gearing up for another swimming season. Coaches and assistants are currently being sought for paid and volunteer positions. A Webmaster is also needed to set up a Seadog Web site.

  • Bulldog Sports Round-up

    The Yellow Springs High School softball team lost the opening game against Cedarville 17–3 on Monday, March 30. Katie Triplett drove two hits early on in the game, both of which were scored by Rachel Trumbull.

  • Barbara Wilson

    Barbara Ruth Wilson of Yellow Springs, died Wednesday, March 25, in her residence, with her family by her side. She was 73.
