The skunks are out!

The weather has let up. You let the dog out. A few moments later you hear a scuffle, a tell-tale yelp, followed by the sickening odor of too much curiosity. It’s a rite of spring, and every dog owner has had to deal with it at some point.
The following is a simple, yet effective recipe for significant odor abatement (not removal!). NOTE: DO NOT WET DOWN the dog with water first.
Ingredients:
1 quart hydrogen peroxide, 3% USP
1/4 to 1/3 cup baking soda
1 tsp to 1 tbsp dishwashing liquid
Combine ingredients, don rubber gloves and rub into unfortunate cur’s fur. If possible, use a brush to comb mixture deep into fur. Be careful to avoid the eyes and mouth. Let animal stand for about 5 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Repeat the procedure at least once, and, for good measure, follow up with a regular soapy bath. Your dog, your nose, your guests and your neighbors will all thank you for it.
