Winners of uncontested races

Yellow Springs school board: The two uncontested seats for Yellow Springs Board of Education were indeed held by incumbent school board member Sean Creighton, left, and newcomer Sylvia Ellison. Creighton received 1,380 votes, or 51 percent of the total, while Ellison received 1,314 votes, or just under half of the total. Creighton has served on the school board for four years and is the current school board president. He is the executive director of SOCHE, a regional higher education consortium in Dayton. Ellison is a research instructor in the masters in public health program at Wright State University. She lives in the village. Both officials will serve four-year terms on the school board.

Village mayor: Once again winning approval by the voters of Yellow Springs, David Foubert was elected to serve an 11th term as Village mayor. Foubert won 1,448 votes, which were evenly distributed between the four precincts of the village. Foubert has been the Village mayor for 20 years. He will serve a two-year term.
