Yellow Springs Home, Inc.’s first partnership with the Village

Yellow Springs Home, Inc. invites the public to join them in celebrating the groundbreaking of the first phase of the Cemetery Street project on Friday, Aug. 15 at 3:30 p.m. This project is the first partnership between Yellow Springs Home, Inc. and the Village of Yellow Springs. Please join the Home, Inc. staff, Village of Yellow Springs representatives, the first homeowner family, and funding partners as they break ground on this exciting landmark project. Yellow Springs Home, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to strengthen community and diversity in Yellow Springs and Miami Township by providing permanently affordable and sustainable housing through the Community Land Trust model. Home, Inc. has built or rehabbed 17 units in Yellow Springs for low and moderate income households and provided for more than $2,500,000 with a 0% foreclosure rate since founding.
This is the first of four affordable homes to be built through the project. The homes will include as many energy-efficient and green design features as is feasible to reduce utility costs.
Yellow Springs Home, Inc. is grateful to the many funding agencies that have made this project possible, including: the Huntington National Bank, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati, the Ohio Community Development Finance Fund, the Vectren Foundation, the Morgan Family Foundation, and the Village of Yellow Springs.
