Street work continues around the village

Village streets are receiving their annual repaving in the coming weeks. While traffic will be maintained, the flow will be slowed. The process involves stripping the old asphalt and depositing a fresh layer, which usually making a typical segment of street impassable for about three days.

Currently, work is being done in Kieths Alley, and planned for S. High between W. South College Ave. and the curve at Herman Street; for Cemetery Street; Southview Drive; and Dayton Street from Stafford to the bike path.

In continuing Streetscape work, the sidewalk replacement in front of Speedways has closed down the business for three days.

Please note that the large grading machines, backhoes and heavy truck traffic resulting from resurfacing, while fascinating, pose extra hazards. Keep vigilant, watch children and pets, and plan routes accordingly.
