Yellow Springs’ second annual Porchfest transformed the town’s patios and porches into a de facto villagewide venue Saturday, Sept. 14. Featured were 44 acts across 23 sites, spread across downtown and in local neighborhoods.

According to Paul Herzog, one of the volunteer organizers, this year’s event featured more acts than last year and drew a larger crowd. In addition, Herzog said that all of the acts included someone who lives or works in the village, or had some connection to town.

Bands represented a variety of genres, including classic rock, jazz, chamber music, hip hop, folk, Americana, Celtic, grunge, bluegrass, psych rock, new country blues, cigar box guitar, neo-funk, middle-aged dad rock and more.
