- NAMIWalks to step off in Yellow Springs
On Saturday, Sept. 6, John Bryan Community Center will be the starting line for a first-time event in Yellow Springs: NAMIWalks, a fundraiser for the nonprofit NAMI Clark, Greene and Madison Counties (NAMI CGM), which provides mental health services for residents across the three counties.
- A new school year begins
The YS Board of Education held its most recent meeting Thursday, Aug. 14, right on the heels of the first day of school for the 2025–26 school year. Before the board were discussions of the new year ahead, including changes to traffic around both campuses.
- Moira Smiley and The Rhizome Quartet, World House Choir to open Foundry’s new season
Moira Smiley and the Rhizome Quartet, with special guests the World House Choir, will perform Tuesday, Sept. 2, beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $5 for students.
- Miami Township Trustees continue improving MTFR services
On Monday, Aug. 18, the Miami Township Trustees held a brief meeting, during which trustees approved funding upgrades to defibrillators installed by Miami Township Fire-Rescue at the YS Senior Center and Tom’s Market.

Experimental music series “The Outside Presents” returns this weekend for its third season, opening with a program titled “Midwestern Ambience.”
