Hungry for jazz?
Villager Misty Moneé Gill is partnering with the Little Art Theatre and Dayton-area jazz group G. Scott Jones and the Freedom Ensemble to put on a show benefiting the local soup kitchen “Who’s Hungry?” The show will be held at the Little Art on Sunday, July 13, at 6 p.m.

Still hungry?
The “Who’s Hungry?” program started out with meals once a week and grew to twice a week, and has since fed hundreds of local folks at no cost. Expenses have continued to rise, however, and the program is in need of donations.

“Empty Bowls” fundraiser to benefit Yellow Springs soup kitchen
An “Empty Bowls” fundraiser for “Who’s Hungry?” will take place at the YS Senior Center, 5-8 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 12. $10 pays for the soup; $25-$45 pays for the soup as well as a handmade bowl to keep. All proceeds will allow the Yellow Springs soup kitchen to continue providing free food every Monday and Wednesday.
