• Six months of living in the Glen Cottages

  At the Monday, Feb. 7, Village Council meeting, held virtually via Zoom, a request from Oberer Development Company to rezone 52.6 acres on the south end of the village as a planned unit development, or PUD, did not receive enough votes to move forward.

• Lawson Place purchase eases tenant worries

  On Nov. 29, Council approved a down payment for the building of $160,000 and authorized the financing of the purchase for up to an additional $800,000. The closing date will likely be after the new year.

  A proposed 54-unit affordable senior housing rental project in Yellow Springs has not been funded — yet. Home, Inc. and its development partner, St. Mary Development Corporation, received word last week that they had not been awarded federal tax credits for the local senior apartment building, by far the largest project of its kind undertaken by Home, Inc.
