The Yellow Springs United Methodist Church will host a celebration service commemorating its 175th anniversary on Sunday morning, October 7, at 10:30. There will be a special worship service with former pastors, current administrators of the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church and some Yellow Springs Village Council and Chamber of Commerce members attending. Former members of the church are invited to the celebration. The church invites visitors to attend and learn about all the improvements made to the church in the last decade.
There will be a brief play about the church's early history in Yellow Springs and a powerpoint slide show of some historical photos of the church and its members through the years. After the service there will be a carry-in (potluck) lunch downstairs and all are invited. The church will provide meat, cake and drinks. Attendees may bring a side dish to share, but it's not required.
