Cajun Robin Hood saves the bayou this weekend and next

The YS Kids Playhouse’s ‘Fais Do Do’ season kicks off with a production of Gaston Boudreaux —The Cajun Robin Hood, July 11–14 and 18–21. Performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Antioch Amphitheater. The play resets the classic story of haves and have-nots in the bayous of Louisiana, featuring classic Cajun and zydeco music.
As part of the festivities, the Emporium will host a wine tasting and music with play creators Tucki Bailey, John Fleming and Louise Smith on Tuesday, July 16 at 7 p.m.
On Wednesday, July 17, YSKP will sponsor a screening of the documentary Trouble the Water at Antioch University Midwest, beginning at 7 p.m. Special guests Linda Schexnaydre and Jeanne Dumestre will be on hand to talk about their experiences as nurse activists during the hurricane.
