ORDINANCES RE: REPEALING OLD SECTIONS & ENACTING NEW SECTIONS
VILLAGE OF YELLOW SPRINGS, OHIO
Council gave preliminary approval by adopting as a part of their consent agenda ordinances 2018-22; 2018-23 and 2018-24 on May 21, 2018. These ordinances will receive a public hearing and consideration for passage into law on June 4, 2018.
ORDINANCE 2018-22
• Repealing Section 1266.03 “Permitted Signs” of the Codified Ordinances
of the Village Of Yellow Springs, Ohio and Enacting New Chapter 1266.03
“Permitted Signs” (This ordinance adds the following words to the “Permitted Signs” section of the zoning code: The Zoning Administrator may exempt the maximum requirement if a site visit determines the location of
the signs will not be visible from the street or public property.)
ORDINANCE 2018-23
• Repealing Section 1284.03 “Definitions: C-D” of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio and Enacting New Chapter 1284.03 “Definitions :C-D” (This ordinance changes the definition of density within the zoning code to: Density Computed by multiplying the number of units allowed per acre in a district. Any fraction of an acre may be rounded up to the next acre, allowing additional density if meeting the minimum requirements of the district.)

• Repealing Section 1284.08 “Definitions: R-S” of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio and Enacting New Chapter 1284.08 “Definitions: R-S” (This ordinance adds solar panels to the definition of “structures” in the zoning code.)
