BID REQUEST FOR ELECTRIC POLE REPLACEMENT
The Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio is soliciting sealed, competitive bids for:
2018 ELECTRIC POLE REPLACEMENT
Bid Packages containing the specifications for the above project will be available
during normal business hours beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the
Administrative Offices at 100 Dayton Street, Yellow Springs, Ohio 45387. Questions
regarding the bidding process should be directed to Public Works Director Johnnie
Burns at (937) 767-8649.
SEALED BIDS will be received by the Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio until 12:00 p.m.
(noon, local time) on Friday, July 20th, 2018 at the Office of the Village Manager, 100
Dayton Street, 2nd Floor, Yellow Springs, Ohio 45387, and publicly opened and read at
that hour and place.
SCOPE OF WORK will consist of the replacement of approximately 90 electric poles
containing one-phase and three-phase lines at various locations throughout the Village
of Yellow Springs electric grid (map of approximate locations attached to bid packages).
Materials will be provided by the Village of Yellow Springs.
The Village of Yellow Springs reserves the right to reject any or all bids in accordance
with the Contract Documents. The Village of Yellow Springs reserves the right to add to
or to subtract from the contract quantities. The Village of Yellow Springs also reserves the
right to hold all proposals for sixty (60) days. Mandatory pre-bid site meeting Thursday,
July 5th, 2018 at 9 AM at 100 Dayton Street, Yellow Springs, Ohio 45387. For further

EACH BIDDER is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty (10% of the
Bid Amount) and Contract Bond (100% of the Bid Amount) in accordance with Section
153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code.
BIDDERS must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in
Greene County and the Village of Yellow Springs as determined by the Ohio Bureau of
Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239.
BIDS shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope identified as “VILLAGE OF YELLOW
SPRINGS ELECTRIC POLE REPLACEMENT” and MUST HAVE THE FULL NAME
AND ADDRESS of the bidder on the envelope.
