2021 Share the Joy holiday tree at the Yellow Springs Community Library

The 2021 Share the Joy holiday tree is now up at the YS Community Library. The tree is an annual community effort for the residents of Yellow Springs and Miami Township who need help at holidays; requests for aid are filled by other community members.
Applications for participation are located beside the tree, along with a brochure that explains the project. Whereas last year, due to the pandemic, only gift cards could be requested, this year’s Share the Joy tree will return to requests for wrapped gifts.
All requests are kept anonymous and confidential by the volunteers who process them. Requests for gifts will be taken until Sunday, Dec. 5, at 5 p.m.
Further information for those who plan to participate in purchasing requested gifts will appear in a future issue of the News.
