Donald E. Lewis passed away on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022, at the Springfield Masonic Community. He was born at home in Yellow Springs, Ohio, on Sept. 14, 1943, to the late R.H. (Red) Lewis and Claris (Alspaugh) Lewis.

Keith Robert Greiffenhagen, a longtime resident of Yellow Springs, was born on Nov. 17, 1964, and passed away on Feb. 21, 2022, after a tragic accident.

Judy Peck was born on Sept. 1, 1941, in Akron, Ohio, to Jacob and Evelyn Reiter. On Jan. 5, 2022, she passed away fighting a short battle with cancer.

Ruddnette Jefferson, one of the last surviving African American women of her generation born and raised in Yellow Springs, passed away on Feb. 14, 2022.

Since October 2021, Villager Diana Castellan has made or mended and donated nearly 300 blankets with the support of a Blanket Fund, established last year at the YS United Methodist Church.
