A special screening of the documentary “Call of the Scenic River” will be featured at the Clifton Opera House on Friday, July 13, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Ohio being the first state to pass Scenic River Protection legislation.

‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ opens this weekend
The Yellow Springs Theater Company will open the third annual “Summer Shakespeare Shindig” with “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” this weekend. Performances will be held Fridays and Saturdays, July 13, 14, 20 and 21, beginning at 8 p.m.

Police investigating armed robbery in the Glen
