Terrence James Laughlin, 66, founder, director and CEO — Chief Executive Optimist — of Total Immersion Swimming, died Oct. 20, 2017, due to complications from prostate cancer.

Some Yellow Springs residents did not receive papers on Thursday, Jan. 25.

Yellow Springs-based soul and rock jam band Gin-soaked Angels has announced on social media that a gathering to remember the life of the group’s bassist, Benjamin (Ben) Rorrer, who died earlier this week, will be held Sunday, Jan. 28, at Spirited Goat Coffee House, beginning at 7 p.m.

Two village churches — First Presbyterian and Central Chapel AME — will host soup/Super Bowl-related events in February.
