The rescheduled Yellow Springs Independence Day parade will take place today, July 6, at 3 p.m.

Camille Marie Willis, 68, passed away on June 12 at her home in Yellow Springs. She was 68.

Evelyn M. Powers of Springfield died June 17 in Vancrest Health Care Center, Urbana. She was 85.

A memorial for longtime villager Rae Dewey will be held Thursday, July 4, at 2 p.m. in the Glen Helen Building.

Antioch University has named Iris Weisman, Ed.D., vice chancellor for academic affairs. Dr. Weisman will begin her new role on July 1 when the current vice chancellor, Dr. Laurien Alexandre, embarks on a new position within the university.

A public reading of Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring will be held Saturday, June 22, 8 a.m.–noon at the Farmers Market.
