At the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 7, Ohioans passed two state issues: Issue 1, which will legalize access to abortion and reproductive care and protect that access in the State Constitution; and Issue 2, a statute to legalize the sale and possession of cannabis products for Ohioans ages 21 and older.

The YS Public Arts & Culture Commission will honor its 2023 VIDA recipients in a celebration Friday, Nov. 3, 6–8 p.m., at Herndon Gallery on the Antioch College campus.

The festival, which ran Oct. 6–8, featured a number of screenings and Q&A discussions, including with filmmakers Steven Bognar, Stephen Michael Simon and Steve Zahn and actor and comedian Fred Armisen.

It was a great day to be a Bulldog as the Yellow Springs High School and McKinney Middle School cross-country teams had great performances at the Jim Murray Invitational, held at the Clark County Fairgrounds Saturday, Sept. 30.

Charles W. Koeller, age 85, of Yellow Springs, Ohio, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023.

Robert P. Douglas Jr., age 65, passed away Oct. 26, 2023, in Springfield, Ohio.

Hilda R. Bolle, age 94, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023, at Forest Glen Health Campus.

Arthur E. “Art” Morgan, 91, of Monticello, Indiana, passed away Sunday, Oct. 15, 2023 at IU Health White Memorial Hospital.

Pauline Ramona Brown passed early on the beautiful autumn morning of Oct. 25, in her bed surrounded by her daughters, with the steady hand of Dayton Hospice.
