YS Schools announced the May recipients of student and faculty awards at the May 22 Board of Education meeting.

Hosted by the YS Chamber of Commerce, the event will feature 250 vendor booths, open 9 a.m.–5 p.m., along with 65 local shops and eateries.

The annual Strawberry Fest hosted by First Presbyterian Church will be Friday, June 9, 6–9 p.m., on the front lawn of the church.

Dwain J. “DJ” Banion, of Yellow Springs, passed away May 17, 2023, in the Soin Medical Center following an accident at home. He was 71.

The 61 graduates of the Class of 2023 officially said “farewell” to Yellow Springs High School on Thursday, May 25, as they graduated in the school’s gym.
