  • Muse concert this Saturday— Singing out for women and world

    Cincinnati women’s choir Muse will perform at South Gym, Antioch College at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 3. The concert is a fundraiser for the Yellow Springs Community Food Pantry.     The story of the Cincinnati vocal ensemble Muse begins 29 years ago, when doctoral student Catherine Roma combined her interests in choral conducting, peace and justice and feminism by starting a women’s choir to emphasize the female voice, empower women and promote social change.

  • Present gives voices to village past

    The Yellow Springs downtown of the early 1900s is superimposed on the Yellow Springs of today. In the same way, the village’s past comes alive on the Web pages of local history blogs started in recent years. The historical photo (c.1910) was taken from approximately the same location looking north on Xenia Avenue 100 years ago.
