Nonstop Institute plans two open houses

Community open house
The Nonstop Liberal Arts Institute will host a Community Open House at its new office at 113 East Davis Street on Friday, Aug. 15, beginning at 9 a.m. Numerous activities are planned for what organizers hope will be an entertaining and informative day-long event. Nonstop academic open house
On Thursday, Aug. 21, at 7:30 p.m., the Nonstop Liberal Arts Institute will present a Fall Academic Open House at the Bryan Community Center gymnasium, 100 Dayton Street. This event is free and open to all.
The Institute will offer a wide range of classes in many different disciplines, including anthropology, art, chemistry, communications, dance, journalism, theater, political science and writing. Courses and special events will be scheduled throughout the week with some offerings in the evenings and on Saturdays. At the open house attendees will be able to interact with faculty one-on-one and receive copies of course syllabi. There will also be tables set up for people to pre-register for classes, donate to Nonstop, offer housing or jobs for students and share expertise.
