Longtime Yellow Springs chiropractor Mark Duckwall has recently purchased the building that formerly housed the Shirley/Jones Gallery, where he plans to open a new office space this fall.

Youth soccer begins
Registration for Yellow Springs Youth Recreational Soccer League begins Saturday, Aug. 29, 10:30–11:45 a.m. at the newly renovated Morgan Fields north of the Yellow Springs High School football stadium. Players and their parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to attend. Participants who are unable to attend are asked to call the coordinator for the appropriate age group listed below for registration forms.

Golf team 1–6
The Yellow Springs High School golf team fell behind in a tri-match at home at Locust Hills Golf Course on Monday, Aug. 24, and also lost to Bethel on Tuesday, Aug. 18. The Bulldogs’ season record is 1–6, and the team is 0–4 in the Metro Buckeye Conference.

College moves closer to achieving independence
Antioch College moved one step closer to independence last week, when a Greene County court approved the transfer of the college endowment from the university to the college.
