Tricksters skate to springtime tunes

The Super Spectacular Extraordinarily Energized Skarstic Festival at the Yellow Springs Skate Park drew close to 100 people out on Saturday afternoon for music, skating, roller blading and snacks. Local band Blue Moon Soup performed on the tennis court surface while youth from Yellow Springs, Enon, Springfield and Columbus plied their tricks on the skate park ramps.

The festival was organized by Yellow Springs High School seniors Nancy Epling and Conor Stratton to raise money, half of which will benefit the Haitian Relief Fund and the other half of which will be used for capital improvements to the skate park.
