Free youth programs at Glen Helen Pancake Breakfast

Glen Helen naturalists are offering free youth programs throughout the 36th Annual Pancake Breakfast. That means friends can kick back for that second cup of Emporium coffee while enjoying a Corndaddies tune. Or sample local syrup from Flying Mouse Farms. Or just kick back and enjoy spring from the heart of your favorite 1000-acre nature preserve.
9 a.m.: The doors open and the griddles are hot. Youth 10 and under eat free with their family, all others $10.
9 a.m.–1 p.m.: Bring out the Critters! Outdoor Education Center Lodge Lobby
Live animals in the lobby with Susan, Kathleen, and Matthew
10 a.m.–11 a.m.: Nature Crafts! Fire Circle
Nature Crafts with Ingrid
11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.: Scavenger Hunt! Fire Circle
Scavenger Hunt and Nature Walk with Margaret
Then, hike though to the other neck of the woods for a two-hour Wildflower Hike led by Daniel Pearson. What’s blooming? Skunk Cabbage, Snow Trillium, Hepatica, Harbinger of Spring and many, many others! Departs from Trailside Museum at 1 p.m.
