U.S. Route 68 closure scheduled for culvert work

The Ohio Department of Transportation released the following announcement Monday:
U.S. Route 68 will be closed for five days for culvert replacement work just north of SR 343 beginning Monday, Aug. 3.
U.S. 68 will be closed between SR 794 and SR 343. The detour for northbound U.S. 68 traffic will be east on SR 343 to north on SR 72 to west on SR 794. Southbound U.S. 68 traffic will use the same reverse detour.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming full closure.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through a work zone.

State Route 794 is now Clark County Road 794 – the road changes name: West Blee Road at US 68 and W. Sparrow Rd at SR 72.

Local traffic is still allowed from Pfeiffer Orchard north, so if you need to get to one of the businesses on 68, you can still do so by going up Polecat to Jackson Road and cutting back to 68.
