Ordinances to correct text errors in the current zoning code

Interested persons will take note that the Village Council of Yellow Springs on Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, gave first readings to ordinances, text to follow.
Council will give a second reading to Ordinances 2016-31 and 2016-32 and pass them into law during a public hearing on Monday, Nov. 21, 2016.

Ordinance 2016-31
• Repealing Section 1248.03 “Spatial Requirements” of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio and Enacting New Section 1248.03 “Spatial Requirements” received a first reading at the November 7th Council meeting. It will receive a second reading and public hearing on November 21, for passage into law. The ordinance is being enacted to correct a text error in the current zoning code, and restores the required side yard setbacks in R-A to 20 feet total..
Ordinance 2016-32
• Repealing Section 1224.01 “Application; Fee” of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio and Enacting New Section 1224.01 “Application; Fee” received a first reading at the November 7thCouncil meeting. It will receive a second reading and public hearing on November 21, for passage into law. The ordinance is being enacted to correct a text error in the current zoning code, and makes the application fee for right of way vacations consistent across all sections of the code.
