Survey measures interest in summer YS Youth Baseball

The State of Ohio’s Responsible Restart guidelines have approved light contact sports for youth beginning May 26. YS Youth Baseball, which had previously suspended activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, has released a survey to determine interest in resuming the summer season in compliance with state guidelines.

If the season commences, players will be required to wear face coverings and maintain physical distance. They will also, according to state guidelines, be unable to share equipment, and thus will need their own bats, helmets and water bottles.

According to the YS Youth Baseball website: “While we are exploring options for the league to provide these items, our hope is that many of you already have these items or will be able to acquire them on your own. Please indicate in the survey whether this will be possible for your family.”
