Jane Hill Baker, long-time resident of Yellow Springs, died Feb. 12, 2024, at Friends Care Community Center. She was 89.

Naturalists with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources will lead the annual six-mile winter hike through John Bryan State Park and Clifton Gorge State Nature Preserve on Saturday, Feb. 10.

Though the McKinney Bulldogs fell 12–45 to rivals Dayton Christian on Thursday, Feb. 1, the girls finished their season on a high note with a 20–19 win against Dominion on Saturday, Feb. 3 — a major victory for both the season and for the team’s last several years.

Fairl (Eagle) Zurbuchen, 84, of Yellow Springs, Ohio, died at home Dec. 22, 2023, after living a long, energetic, very active and fulfilling life.

Carla Ruth Cunningham Scherr, 61, of Woodbridge, Virginia, passed away Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, in Bethesda, Maryland.

Kimberly Susan Johnson passed from this life Jan. 25, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, after a long battle with dementia. She was born Sept. 5, 1956, in Springfield, Ohio, the eldest child of Joseph and Shirley (Goff) Fugate.
