Bonnie L. Davison, age 86, of Fairborn, passed away March 22, 2023.

Julane Isabel Chaney, age 80, of Yellow Springs, passed away in her home on March 21, 2023.

John Richard Vennerholm, formerly of Yellow Springs, left us on Friday, April 1, 2022, to go off on his next voyage.

On Saturday, March 25, the Yellow Springs High School varsity baseball team loaded the bus with players, coaches and equipment, with Pleasant Hill as their destination, where they met the Newton High School Indians in the first contest of the baseball season.

Following a Feb. 3 freight train derailment that was carrying hazardous materials, and a resulting chemical spill in East Palestine, Ohio, village resident Jenny Johnson established a fundraiser to help relocate a family who lived a quarter mile away from the wreckage.

Occurring each year on March 8, International Women’s Day is a global celebration of women, underscoring women’s rights and calling attention to issues affecting women all over the world, including equality and reproductive rights.
