Though the McKinney Bulldogs fell 12–45 to rivals Dayton Christian on Thursday, Feb. 1, the girls finished their season on a high note with a 20–19 win against Dominion on Saturday, Feb. 3 — a major victory for both the season and for the team’s last several years.

Fairl (Eagle) Zurbuchen, 84, of Yellow Springs, Ohio, died at home Dec. 22, 2023, after living a long, energetic, very active and fulfilling life.

Carla Ruth Cunningham Scherr, 61, of Woodbridge, Virginia, passed away Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, in Bethesda, Maryland.

Kimberly Susan Johnson passed from this life Jan. 25, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, after a long battle with dementia. She was born Sept. 5, 1956, in Springfield, Ohio, the eldest child of Joseph and Shirley (Goff) Fugate.

The Central State University Theatre Arts Program will present “Reunion: Journey with Ancestors,” written and performed by change agent and visionary Charles Fox, on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m.

The Aero Saxophone Quartet is the next ensemble to be featured in the Chamber Music of Yellow Springs, or CMYS, 2023–2024 season, with a concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, at First Presbyterian Church.
